Over the last week of showing houses to multiple buyers I have heard, "You would think the sellers would at least clean their house." Or "This house is so clean, you should see some of the other houses we have looked at."
Deep cleaning makes a difference!
Here are a few items not to forget
Buyers open closets, cabinets, shower curtains, etc.
Clean all surfaces
Dust, including ceiling fans
Wash light fixtures
Change HVAC filters
Clean carpets
Clean baseboards and corners
This may also be a great time to store or purge. It's a good idea to go ahead and get a storage building and box up a lot of the items you do not NEED and put them in storage.
Remember, you want the buyer to be able to picture your house as their HOME! So they need to be able to visualize their belongings, their style, their lives in your house.
